Birmingham City University – International Application Form (New)
Paper application form to be filled and attached along with all documents and should be uploaded while submitting online application.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS for UG and PG –
- For the majority of the courses, an IELTS of 6.0 overall (with no band below 5.5) is required, however, please note that some courses may require a higher IELTS score. Please check with the University if you are unsure.
Undergraduate:
- TOEFL – 80 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
- PTE – 50 overall with a minimum of 42 in all components.
Postgraduate:
- TOEFL – 88 overall and a minimum of 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking.
- PTE – 61 overall with 51 in all components.
The Requirements may Defer for some Programs.
IELTS WAIVER for UG and PG – ICSE, CBSE, Maharashtra State Board and Andhra State Board.
NOTE:
Due to the ongoing Covid 19 Pandemic, Birmingham City University is accepting online English Language qualifications for 2020 intake as the IELTS test centres are being Closed.

Birmingham City University offers Chancellor’s Award Scholarships in Dubai worth up to AED 31,000 per year which is equivalent of up to 30% of the annual fee for each year of your programme (subject to academic achievement).
