The qualifications offered by the University of Waikato are structured according to two principles: flexibility and an emphasis on interdisciplinary study. Students are able to combine major and supporting subjects according to their individual interests and abilities, while ensuring that their programmes are coherent and provide a sound basis for employment or further study.Regarding the list of courses:We do not offer a 'Graduate Diploma in Art, rather, a Graduate Diploma of Arts'.
The Academic Year
The academic year runs from March to November. It is divided into two semesters by a four-week study break in June/July. Most schools within the University offer a mid-year intake. Summer School is available for many courses. The International MBA is taught over 14 months beginning in July.General Information

- Recommended Living Expenses: $250 pw (all-inclusive)
- Accommodation: On-campus halls of residence $170 pw (fully catered), $88-100 pw (self-catered), home stay at approximately $175 pw, Flatting or house-sharing at approximately $60-90 pw for one room excluding other expenses
- Fees quoted are estimates based on a standard number of papers per year. Prices will alter if individual programmes vary
