
IELTS - Test Format IELTS
IELTS covers 4 language skills. Listening and Speaking modules are same but may choose between the Academic or General Training. Academic module is for students seeking entry to a University or Institution of Higher education offering degree and diploma. Where else General Training Module is for students seeking entry to a secondary school or to vocational training courses. The first three modules - Listening, Reading and Writing - must be completed in one day. The Speaking Module may be taken, at the discretion of the test centre, in the period seven days before or after the other Modules.
In all the test last for 2hours 45 minutes
Listening:
it consists of 4 sections, around 40 questions and the time given is 30 minutes.Academic Reading:
it consists of 3 sections, around 40 questions and the time given is 60 minutes.General Training Reading:
it consists of 3 sections, around 40 questions and the time given is 60 minutes.Academic Writing:
it consists of 2 tasks and the time given is 60 minutes.General Training Writing:
it consists of 2 tasks and the time given is 60 minutes.Speaking:
You will have to an examiner for about 15 minutes ,which will be recorded.In all the test last for 2hours 45 minutes
